Hello. I’m glad you’re here.

Multifaceted and interdisciplinary, my journey has taken me from marketing to motherhood to mythology.

With the birth of my first child, I decided to leave my position in corporate marketing and become a full-time parent. This time turned out to be pivotal to my academic journey. In fact, I believe it is what sparked my interest in mythological studies. A mythic perspective of my struggle with postpartum depression helped me make meaning of this experience.

During my five years working with the United Methodist Church, I attained a certification in Spiritual Direction from Southern Methodist University’s Perkins School of Theology. I learned how to help people discern their paths.

Subsequently, I earned a PhD in cultural mythology and psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute. Through these studies, I gained a deep understanding of how to help people make meaning through story. As we tell our stories, we begin to see our personal lived experience within the archetypal patterning of the human experience found in mythology. Now, much of my work is sharing the study of myth with the world through the Fates and Graces Mythologium and the Joseph Campbell Foundation, as well as writing and coaching.

My journey coalesces into the work that I do.
